The Wharf House- Newly Remodeled Sebago Beachfront Lake House

Our family of six had an amazing vacation at The Wharf House. The home is even more beautiful (and spacious) then it appears in the pictures, and it couldn’t be more perfectly situated on the lake. We traveled with my teenage daughters and elderly parents, and the accessibility and proximity to the water made it easy for the everyone to enjoy the property, whether swimming or relaxing on the dock or beautiful front porch. We swam and took out the kayaks daily, and everyone had fun with the assorted floats and water toys. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to cook in, and we cooked several meals on the barbecue. The beds and layout are very comfortable and there was ample eating and lounging space for six people; but it might be tight for more than six adults. My parents have some mobility concerns, and the entry ramp and single story layout were tremendous assets. That said, there are two uneven steps down from the grassy lawn into the water, and there is not a railing. My parents had trouble negotiating this, but were able to get in and out of the water with support. (Also note that the sandy beach in the pictures is actually the lake entry once you step down from the grass; it’s not a beach you can sit or lay on like you’d find at the ocean). This was our first trip to Sebago Lake, and we absolutely loved the location. The lake was warm, shallow to enter, sandy bottomed, and beautifully clear. We didn’t rent a boat (but there were options all around to do so), and we had more than enough to keep us entertained at the house itself. It is less than half a mile to the Raymond town beach and a wonderful ice cream shop (the Mosquito); we also recommend the Kindred Farm Bakery, which is about a ten minute drive away (great vegan and non-vegan sandwiches and pizza). Ashley and Mandy were easy to work with and super responsive whenever we had a question, either about the house or the local community. Overall, our biggest complaint is that we eventually had to go home! We’d rent here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Had the best belated birthday weekend at this gorgeous, fully wheelchair-accessible cabin on Sebago Lake with my cousins! I’m paralyzed from the waist down, and this place was perfect - wide ramp, open layout, and a spacious roll-in shower made everything easy. As a beach girl, I used to overlook lakes… but Sebago changed my mind! Our deck was just steps from the private dock, and I could roll right down to soak up the sun with everyone else. The girls hit the water with floats, kayaks, and canoes while I chilled in the hammock or lounged lakeside. Evenings were all about grilling, wine, and sunset views. 10/10 weekend - highly recommend!

A very beautiful and very peaceful Cabin. We had a short but lovely stay - even with a little rain, the porch and large windows made the stay lovely. Would love to come back again in the summer and stay for a longer amount of time. The cabin was well done, beds comfortable and it was well appointed with anything we could have needed. Also Mandy was very responsive for anything we needed leading up to and during the stay.

We love this lake cottage so much!!! We had an incredible vacation in this beautiful home! The inside is so amazing!! We have a disabled 38 year old son so having an accessible rental was soo super! The sleep safe bed is just like his at home and the handicap accessible shower was perfect!! We relaxed on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view!! We can’t wait to rent it in the summer!!!
